The World and Olympics shot put champion, Valerie Adams, will not compete at World Championship in Beijing.
She had two surgeons this winter, at the shoulder and at the elbow, and her summer season started later then the others.
Now she fells she’s not ready to compete at an high level competition so she preferes to give up; this year she had a season’s best of 18.79m.
“I have thought about this long and hard and I know it’s the right thing to do,” – she said on her account Instagram – “All those who know me know how competitive I am and how much I love competing in the black singlet”
Valerie Adams won 5 consecutive medals and now she wants to defend her Olympic title next year in Rio.
