Athletics is not only competitions, it is like a big family where everyone tries to help each other when one is in trouble; that’s what’s happening with Kira Grünberg.
The young austrian pole vaulter was victim of an accident during her training session and now she’s a paraplegic. She has the National Record in pole vault and she had a long and bright career ahead of her.
Now all her training partners and a lot of athletes coming from all the world are organizing charity events.
On 2th September there will be “Laufen für Kira” at Wiener Prater. It is a marathon where athletes in wheelchairs will partecipate.
On 4th September there will be an event in Salzburg called “Jump City” where the pole vault Olympic Champion Renaud Lavillenie will compete. Lavillenie immediately gave his avaibility and tried to help Kira, by posting on his social network the account for donations opened by the Austrian federation.
