DOPING: Spanish hurdler Josephine Onyia tested positive for the fifth time

Josephine OnyiaRetesting the 31 samples collected during the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008, after the 14 Russian athletes, the Spanish hurdler with Nigerian origins, Josephine Onyia, resulted positive for the fifth time.
The athlete had won during that Olympic event a fifth place in the 100 hurdlers semifinal.
Her first positivity was exactly in 2008 when some traces of metilexanamina and clenbuterol were detected from her urinalysis. Fortunately for her, the case generated a debate between IAAF and the Spanish Federation that finished with a 2 year disqualification. In 2011, incorrigibly, she was stopped for other two years because of another drug (dimethylpentylamine).
An additional disqualification prevented her to participate at the World Championships in Beijing and, after that, IAAF punished her with the life ban. Now, it was decided to re-analyse her sample even though Onyia does not have any possibility to take part in Rio 2016.
